Flo started as a task builder with a chat bubble on the side. Type a thought, get a card. Over the last few weeks Flo grew into something different: a hands-on collaborator that can run most of planFlo for you without you opening a menu.
Here is what Flo can do now that it could not do a month ago.
Break work into subtasks
You can finally ask Flo to split a card into steps:
- "Add subtasks to #5: call Lisa, gather budget, send invite."
- "Break down the Q2 launch card." (Flo picks sensible subtasks for you.)
- "Generate subtasks for Review proposal."
If you name the subtasks, Flo uses them verbatim. If you don't, Flo picks 3 to 5 based on the card's title and description.
Set a time, a range, or both
Cards now support specific times and date ranges. Say it however you think about it:
- "Schedule #7 for 2pm."
- "Add a meeting with Luis tomorrow at 3 to 4pm."
- "Move the dinner with Sarah to 8pm."
- "Add a task due next week." (Flo uses Monday of the following week.)
- "Add a task due end of month."
On the board, cards show the whole range compactly: Apr 17, or Apr 17 to 19, or Apr 17 at 2 to 4pm. Whatever fits the card.
Rename things without leaving chat
- "Rename this board to Q2 Content."
- "Call the Done column Shipped instead."
- "Rename my Client Board to Q2 Clients." (matches by name, no need to switch first)
- "Rename Meeting Notes to Q1 Planning."
Copy a card, even across boards
This one is new and useful. If you find a card you want to repeat either later on the same board or in a different workspace, ask:
- "Copy #7." (same board, appended with "(copy)")
- "Duplicate #3 to my Content Calendar board."
- "Clone #12 to the Sales board."
If you copy into a different board, Flo lands the card there quietly and gives you a Jump to [Board] button. Click if you want to go see it. Stay where you are if you just wanted to queue it up.
Pick multiple cards, not just one
Some actions make more sense as a filter than as one card at a time. Try:
- "Mark next week's tasks as high priority."
- "Archive all completed cards."
- "Move urgent tasks to Done."
Flo pulls up every matching card with checkboxes. Uncheck anything you don't want included. Apply to do them all at once. If only one card matches, Flo skips the picker and just does it.
When Flo asks you a yes or no question, there are now buttons under its reply. Click instead of typing. Works for "create another or update existing?" prompts, "is this a calendar event or a board task?", and any other branching question Flo poses.
Handle events and notes from chat
- "Change my dentist appointment to 3pm."
- "Delete dinner with Sarah."
- "Create a note titled Q2 Budget."
- "Save an email draft called Welcome Kit Update."
- "Rename Meeting Notes to Q1 Planning."
Pin a board
- "Pin this board."
- "Pin Sales Board."
- "Unpin Client Board."
Pinned boards float to the top on the Projects dashboard.
Why this matters
The number of times you need to open a menu, click through a modal, or switch boards just to do one small thing has dropped to near zero. If you can describe it, Flo can do it. If Flo can't, it tells you plainly instead of pretending.
